Cameron, Manmohan Singh, Maccrae and Valmiki

Going by the reports that appeared in Indian news media I thought that finally the Indian Prime Minister would come to Sri Lanka to participate at the CHOGM even for a few hours at least to mark his presence. However, it was not to be. Remember that it is not Manmohan Singh who is not coming to Sri Lanka but the Indian Prime Minister. The talk of how many CHOGMs the Indian Prime Ministers have missed during the last fifty or sixty years is nothing but diplomatic mockery. After all it is not the same as the Indian Prime Minister not going to Perth as Colombo or (Sri) Lanka tolls a different bell to Indians at least from the time of Valmiki. The Indian Foreign Office has lost to Jayalalitha who is in effect the Indian Minister for Sri Lankan affairs. I feel sorry for Mr. Kurdish, whose portfolio has been devalued. The Indian High Commissioner in Colombo who must have done his best to see that Manmohan Singh came to Sri Lanka should also be a worried person.

However, I am not unhappy that Manmohan Singh is not coming to Sri Lanka as it would end our dependence on India to solve the Tamil problem. Sri Lanka is now out of the Indian yoke, and The Indian government will not be in a position to apply pressure on the Sri Lankan government with so called solutions such as the 13th amendment plus or minus. The Indian Foreign Office must have realized this but Jayalalitha who has played to the gallery in her entire adult life does not seem to understand the intricacies of non celluloid politics. I am sure that the Chief Minister of the Northern Province is also worried of the situation but he should realize that it gives us an opportunity to solve our problems without foreign interference. Let us talk of the commonalities between Tamil Shaivite culture and the Sinhala (Hela) Buddhist culture without importing concepts such as reconciliation from the west. After all it is said that Shiva Thandava Stotra was composed by Rawana who had later become a Buddhist if we go by the Lankavatara Sutta of Mahayana Buddhism. Non dualistic Advaitha Vedantha is so close to and so different from Bududahama that Sankaracarya was considered as a camouflaged Buddhist. It was Nagarjunapada of Madhyamikavada with his Sunyathava that made a Nirgun Brahman possible and it is clear that Nirgun Brahman is the “Athmic” (with soul) version of Sunyathava. The Theravada Buddhism of the third council (Sangayana) has tried to accommodate what I call instant soul theory in the form of Dhammavada and Kshanavada. Let us not be fooled by Valmikis and Maccraes (of infamous Channel 4) who had and have different agenda. Let us be Lankans of Rawana and not Ceylonese of George III (the English).

As we said last week the Commonwealth is an unsuccessful attempt by England to keep its empire intact in a different form. Thus England could not boycott the CHOGM nor send a low powered delegation to the meeting. However, England is not happy with Mahinda Rajapakse becoming the chairperson of the Commonwealth for the next two years. England and Canada have already said they would not contribute to the maintenance of the commonwealth. England supported the LTTE through Norway and other western countries including Canada, and operated behind the screen. Now Norway and the other Scandinavian countries have no role to play and England has come to the forefront in the struggle to send Mahinda Rajapakse and Gotabhaya Rajapakse to the guillotine as war criminals. We request the Sri Lankan government to appoint a Presidential Commission to inquire into the assistance given by foreign countries, NGOs, some churches to the LTTE, which violated human rights not only of the Sinhala people but as well as of the Muslims and Tamils. England is unhappy that the heroic Sri Lankan armed forces were able to defeat the LTTE under the political leadership of the President and the direction of the Defense Secretary against its wishes. Both India and England used the LTTE against Sri Lanka but India realized its mistake when Rajiv Gandhi was murdered by the terrorists. However, people such as Jayalalitha who play to the gallery will never understand the Tamil problem in Sri Lanka. She does not know that in Sri Lanka Tamils enjoy much better facilities than in India. Tamil is an official language and a national language in Sri Lanka and it is only in Sri Lanka one could obtain a Ph. D. in the Tamil medium. There is no discrimination on the ground of ethnicity or religion in Sri Lanka as anybody walking round in Colombo or any other city, town or village would realize. While Muslim women are not allowed to wear their traditional dress in some western countries in Sri Lanka there is no such restriction. In the cabinet of ministers there are Tamils, Muslims, Hindus, Christians together with Sinhala Buddhists unlike in England say for that matter. How many Muslim cabinet ministers are there in England, which has a substantial Muslim population?

The Tamil problem in Sri Lanka arose as a result of English favouring the Tamils, and nurturing the Tamils to be the leaders of the country over the Sinhala people. However, with universal franchise given in 1931 the Sinhala leaders became the leaders of the country and the English educated Tamils began to lose the privileges enjoyed by them under the English colonialists. These losses in privileges were interpreted by the Tamil leaders with the assistance of the English rulers as injustices caused to the Tamils in general, and the English were able to create the Tamil problem in Sri Lanka. The English used the educated Tamils against the Sinhala people who fought against colonialism from day one, and even today employ the rump LTTE found as the dispersed Tamils (so called Tamil diaspora) some TNA members, some clergy and lay people in some Churches and NGOs.

The Prime Minister of England, Cameron is here to talk tough to the President of Sri Lanka. He is with people such as Snow and Maccrae who can come out with a Video Clip against the Sri Lankan armed forces and the government at the drop of a hat if not of a few pounds sterling. Maccrae has been given a visa to cover the CHOGM and it is hoped that he does not go beyond the conditions under which the Visa was issued. The two green ladies who came from down under on tourist visas to have press conferences with Sumanthiran who is of the same Chinthanaya as the ladies, would have learnt that not only Cameron but we also could be tough. All these people claim that in the last week of the humanitarian operations against the LTTE the armed forces were engaged in killing innocent Tamils at will. This is absolute rubbish created by the English in order to take Rajpakses to a so called international war tribunal for defeating the LTTE terrorists against the wish of the English Prime Ministers. As the Defense Secretary has said these accusers should either come out with evidence or shut up. It is well known that during the last stages of the operations the LTTE used about three hundred thousand innocent Tamils as a human shield. What were the armed forces expected to do? Were they to let the LTTE keep the innocent Tamils protecting the terrorists until England and the other western countries sent a ship to rescue the terrorist leaders or to massacre the innocent Tamils? The armed forces did neither, but were instrumental in helping the innocent Tamils to come to the armed forces getting away from the terrorists.  It is inevitable that during the cross fire some civilians would have died for which the LTTE was mainly responsible. It is the LTTE that did not want to lose the human shield and it is very likely more people died as a result of the terrorist gun fire. In any event the armed forces would not have killed any civilians intentionally and Maccrae can go on producing video footage to satisfy Cameron and others who are interested in sending the Rajapakses and the “war” heroes to the guillotine. Thousands of years ago Valmiki, most probably a Vaishnavite, came out with Ramayana to charge Rawana of various crimes including molesting Sitha, while praising Rama who was an avatar of Vishnu. Valmiki did not charge Rama or Lakshmana for amputating the nose and the lips of Supranika without any surgical instruments. Valmiki wanted to justify the killing of Rawana by Rama. However at the end Sitha passed the chastity test after going back from Rawana but ironically could not do so after she was with Valmiki! It is more appropriate to call him Val Miki (Miki the cad) in Sinhala. To me the Rama Rawana battle at that time was one for supremacy between Vaishvanism on one hand Shaivism and Buddhism on the other.

Similarly Maccrae is doing a job for Cameron and he is silent on bombing of Iraq by England under the pretext that the former country was in possession of chemical weapons. There are so many crimes committed by England against all the other commonwealth countries including Sri Lanka and India, and it is suggested that at the CHOGM in Colombo Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse bring a motion condemning all the atrocities committed by England against all the other Commonwealth countries and asking England to pay compensation and return all the treasures taken to England from those countries. We are in the midst of another battle that is between the Greek Judaic Christian Chinthanaya and the other Chinthanayas.

Cameron and Manmohan Singh

CHOGM is at the doorstep and nobody can prevent it being held in Sri Lanka. The Commonwealth is an unsuccessful attempt by England to keep its empire on which the Sun did not want to set as the latter did not have any faith in the “mother country”. England at present is left with three colonies namely Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. However, it and the white commonwealth countries continue to be benefitted by the commonwealth throwing crumbs like scholarships, fellowships, technological equipments etc., at the non white countries, and training imitators in those countries who accept the domination exerted by western knowledge. England still wants to politically dictate terms to the other countries and its Prime Minister thinks he is still living in the times of Elizabeth I or Victoria and not of Elizabeth II. Cameron who thinks no end of himself is reported to have told Suki, the agent of the west in Myanmar that he intends to talk tough to the President Mahinda Rajapakse.

Cameron should know that if not for the cheating diplomacy of his countrymen such as Cambridge educated Doyle Sri Lanka would not have become a colony of England as the English were not in a position to defeat the Sinhala at war. If he thinks that he can intimidate the President from Mademulana, who fortunately did not have an education at an English University by tough talk he is clearly mistaken. If Cameron wants he can go to Jaffna but he would not be allowed to talk changes to the constitution interfering with our sovereignty by the Defense Secretary.

The English educated elite in Sri Lanka may find it difficult to lose a scholarship or a fellowship offered by England, but to the general public in Sri Lanka Mahinda Mahattaya is more important than a few Sterling Pounds. It is well known though not spoken publicly all opposition to CHOGM being held in Sri Lanka arise from the defeat of the LTTE terrorists by the Sri Lankan armed forces under the political leadership of the President and the direction of the Defense Secretary. All the talk on so called violation of human rights by England including the so called fourth estate there with cooked up video footage etc., are aimed at taking the two Rajapakse brothers to the guillotine accusing them of war crimes. The LTTE that was supported by England through Norway and other European Countries against the Sinhala people as well as the Tamils is no more except for the so called diaspora (the dispersed Tamils) maintained mainly by England and Canada. It is not surprising to find these two countries apart from the Indian state Tamil Nadu being the only opponents of CHOGM being held in Sri Lanka. Their revenge is endless and they have already said that they would withdraw their contribution to the maintenance of the Commonwealth activities probably through the secretariat, in the next two years. It is nothing but an intimidation but the President Mahinda Rajapakse will overcome these obstacles and I hope the commonwealth secretariat would be given a loan by China of all the countries to keep him as the Chairperson of the Commonwealth for the next two years. England who supplied opium to China may not like it but if USA can be maintained with loans from China there cannot be any objection to the Chairperson of the Commonwealth negotiating loans from China. After all both the BMICH and Nelumpokuna where most of the activities of the CHOGM will be held were built with Chinese aid. If Cameron does not like the idea he can keep away like his Canadian counterpart, but the majority of Sri Lankans would not feel his absence.

I am not an admirer of the Commonwealth but I am glad that the CHOGM is being held in Sri Lanka as we have been able to overcome all the opposition from Cameron and his gang. The holding of the CHOGM in Sri Lanka is a victory of the Sinhalas, the Sri Lankans and above all a victory of Mahinda Rajapakse. Doyle’s era is over and Oxbridge is not looked up to and Camerons are not in a position to bully Rajapakses. If Cameron is genuine he should take steps to disperse the dispersed Tamils in England and its colonies and let the Sri Lankans manage their own affairs without interfering either directly or indirectly through countries such as Norway, and the dispersed Tamils in England and Canada.

It is bad logic and strategy to say that in order to give so called self determination to the Tamils in Sri Lanka, self determination of the Sinhalas and Sri Lankans in general should be curtailed. Perhaps Cameron can go back to a grammar school to learn elementary logic. If Cameron talks tough I am sure that Rajapkse would talk tougher. We have nothing to lose except for a few scholarships and fellowships which produce a few imitators who boast of themselves as the best east of Suez. Even as a schoolboy I used to wonder why only east of Suez. The Sri Lankan government should not appoint a committee nor allow anybody else to come to Sri Lanka to investigate into the so called human rights violation during the last week of the humanitarian operations. If a committee is to be appointed it should be to investigate into  LTTE terrorism over the thirty year period violating the human rights of Sinhalas Muslims and others and also into the support given to the terrorists by England, various NGOs, some clergy of some churches, so called peace organizations etc. In any event it is never too late to investigate the barbaric activities of the English, Dutch and the Portuguese against the Sinhala Buddhists from 1506 to date.

If Cameron is the thug of the town, Manmohan Singh is the most henpecked prime minister of the whole world. At least in that respect he is not only the best east of Suez. It is said that Manmohan Singh has no access to a mobile phone or internet facilities. He does not need them as long as Sonia Gandhi and Jayalalitha posses the necessary equipments. It is very likely that he would come to Sri Lanka to attend the CHOGM even for a few hours as the “male chauvinist” Brahmins in Indian politics and Foreign Service would overcome the resistance of Jayalalitha. It is not because that these Brahmins love Sri Lanka but they know that if the Indian Prime Minister does not attend the CHOGM that would spell the end of Indian interference in Sri Lankan politics. What the Brahmins are not aware of is whether the Indian Prime Minister comes to Colombo or not Indian interference will soon become part of history. Brahmins must be thinking of the presence of Pakistan in Colombo and also of the Chinese influence in Sri Lankan economy. In any event we should welcome Manmohan Singh if possible both at the BMICH and the Nelumpokuna built with Chinese aid.

After the defeat of Prabhakaran there cannot be any separation and we in Sri Lanka should be able to manage our affairs without any interference from India or England led west. In that respect at the CHOGM the Sri Lankan authorities should have a special eye on Cameron and the so called fourth estate. The western media have been given visa for a specific purpose and they are not here to determine whether the CHOGM should be held in Sri Lanka or not. It has already being decided to hold the meeting in Sri Lanka by those who have the power to do so and the media is here to cover the CHOGM and nothing else. They are not here to dictate to us whether we should change the government or the constitution. Both Ranil and Sajith are doing their last laps in politics and the west cannot find a suitable candidate to defeat Mahinda Rajapakse.  These are matters not even for Cameron let alone the western media and the government authorities should be very strict on applying the conditions under which Visas have been issued to media personnel.

All knowledge is boru (lies) western science is pattapal boru (blatant lies)

The next article on the theme “Let them die to maintain the hegemony of western science” has to be postponed in order to respond to what Mr. Bodhi Dhanapala has written on 28th October 2013. I thank Mr. Dhanapala from Quebec, Canada for responding to part of my article published on 23rd October 2013. Though I shall be going into detail describing my views on Western Science and Knowledge in general later, after CHOGM, on which I intend to write mentioning Canadian boycott as well as Manmohan Singh, England and Australia withdrawing funds to the commonwealth after Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse becomes the Chairperson of CHOG, I thought a quick response to Mr. Dhanapala is in order as the readers may not wish to wait so long.

I am a Sinhala Buddhist trying to live with a Sinhala Buddhist Chinthanaya in a world dominated by Greek Judaic Christian (GJC) Chinthanaya, a feat that is not easy to say the least.  During the last twenty five years or so I was fortunate enough to develop an epistemology and an ontology (not mutually exclusive) based on Sinhala Buddhist Chinthanaya. Readers are referred to Mage Lokaya, Jathiya, Sanskrthiya saha Chinthanya and other articles in Kalaya website for explanations (not definitions as there are no definitions as such in my epistemology) of Chinthanaya in general and Sinhala Buddhist Chinthanaya in particular. The knowledge on epistemology is also constructed relative to Sinhala Buddhist Chinthanaya and there are neither absolute concepts nor paramaththa dhamma (somewhat different from the epistemology of the third council or Sangayana) existing even for a moment (kshanaya)  in my epistemology. In a Chinthanaya there can be different paradigms a la Kuhn, which is a concept I have absorbed from GJC Chinthanaya, and my paradigm within Sinhala Buddhist Chinthanaya is different from that of the third council. The readers do not have to be disturbed by these statements as Prof. Carlo Fonseka would tell that any original idea by me is not true.

All knowledge of human beings is constructed relative to the five sense organs, the culture and the mind, due to avidya (loosely translated as ignorance) and there are different systems of knowledge based on different Chinthanayas and paradigms. In that sense even pratyaksha (not the empirical knowledge mentioned in western science and philosophy) associated with vinnana and nama-rupa, using basic concepts like flower without any use of so called theories are also lies. The biggest lie that all saththva have created is that of self (ego, I , mamayanaya  etc.) as for Buddhists such as me there is no me, even though it appears to be a contradiction. There is no flower as such but various cultures have constructed an associated concept. However, without such concepts we cannot live, and though all the conceptual knowledge, including what I have constructed, are lies we can depend on them and make use of them. Though there is no “me”, “I” write this article and the concept of “I” is useful to respond to Mr. Dhanapala. Most of our ancient knowledge is based on pratyaksha not necessarily confined to five sense organs. Those with “spiritually advanced” minds had pratyaksha of so called extra sensory knowledge, which are also incorporated in our corpus of knowledge.  However, all these are relative knowledge and as human beings (in fact as saththva in general) we can construct only such knowledge.

Western science without access to pratyaksha of extra sensory knowledge, in order to “explain” “phenomena” perceptible to sense organs and mind construct abstract theories without any pratyaksha of them. These so called theories are nothing but stories (kathandara) constructed by those western scientists who are creative in the Greek Judaic Christian Chinthanaya, and they are blatant lies. The best example in this regard is the Newtonian theory of gravitation constructed to explain why objects fall to the ground. Nobody including Newton, except for a senior lecturer in Chemistry at the University of Kelaniya has experienced gravitation, and Einstein would tell that there is no gravitation as such. However, the latter’s curvature of space –time is also a story and is a blatant lie that will be displaced with another blatant lie by some other western scientist in time to come.

Regarding the proof of if A=B and B=C, then A=C, as I thought a smart brat in the person of Mr. Dhanapala tells us that it is an axiom, and further that it is the definition of equality. He thinks that if A=B and B=C then A=C defines equality. I wonder from where he got this definition and I am glad that this “humble teacher” is not teaching in one of our schools in Sri Lanka. In the opinion of Mr. Dhanapala if A is parallel to B, and B is parallel to C, then A is parallel to C could be a definition of parallelism. These are examples for what are known as transitive relations in set theory and not definitions. In set theory there could be a relation between two elements X and Y belonging to a set, which is usually denoted by the symbol X R Y. For example in the set of straight lines, the relation R may be “is parallel”. Thus in that case X R Y means the straight line X is parallel to the straight line Y.

Equality is not defined using the above transitive relation and it is clear that Mr. Dhanapala is confused regarding definitions and transitive relations. If R is a transitive relation it means that X R Y, and Y R Z implies X R Z. It has to be mentioned that transitive relations between elements of a set (a subset of the set) have to be established first by other means to be called as such. R is called a transitive relation if X R Y and Y R Z implies X R Z.  In Euclidean Geometry if X is parallel to Y and Y is parallel to Z, then it can be shown that X is parallel to Z, and therefore parallelism is called a transitive relation. Mr. Dhanapala is also confused on the concepts equality and identity. In any event identity operations have nothing to with A is identically equal to B.

An object X is said to be equal to an object Y if they have the same property or value or anything else respect to an observer in a certain context. X is equal to Y only in a certain context and we could say that A and B are equal in heights if the heights of A and B as measured by some observer are equal. I use equality in that sense. However, one cannot compare the height of A with the weight of B, and as far as respectively the height and the weight are concerned A and B are neither equal nor not equal. If the weight of A is equal to the weight of B, and if the height of   B is equal to the height C then there is no transitive relation, and in such case as far as A, B and C are concerned, if A=B and B=C then A=C becomes meaningless. However my question is in a given context, and all that I ask is to deduce that if A=B and B=C, then A=C within a given context in the abstract where A B C stand for any elements for which equality is defined as in western knowledge. It is certainly not a definition of equality and it says that when equality is defined in a certain sense in a given context among members of a subset of the set the relation of equality is a transitive relation. The question is how to deduce it, say, as in the case of parallel lines.

There is no deduction possible of the statement if A = B, and B=C then A=C, and is neither a definition, though it is used in many other deductions. It has been established by induction as I have explained in the book “ Batahira Vidyava, Arsenic saha Deviyo” (Western Science, Arsenic and Gods) and if Mr. Dhanapala is interested I can send him a copy. Incidentally I wish to inform Mr. Dhanapala that I am not qualified to be a Professor and hence I am not a member of the set of Professors.
